Red Wine Barrel-aged Sake
Sequoia’s founders have created the first ever Napa California wine barrel-aged sake. We begin with our Junmai Ginjo sake, then age it in red wine barrels for 3 months. The sake slowly breathes in the aromas as they escape the barrel. Flavors of vanilla with a hint of succulent fruit create a unique sake sure to delight. Enjoy with light fares, like chicken and seafood, veggies and dip. Easy drinking sake, meant to be shared.
Appearance: Pale rosé in color.
Aroma: Soft nose of black currant, passion fruit and a little hint of guava.
Palate: Dry, full palate upon the first splash. Rich in raspberry, lychee nut, and floral bouquet, flowing smoothly over your palate with just a hint of wood and oak.
Alcohol: 12 %
Size: 500 ml
Barrel: French oak, previously used for Matthiasson Winery’s Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa California.
